Traci Patterson is the Founder and Executive Director of Advanced Pathways, and the CSO of Intensive Healing Therapy. She is a Certified Instructor and Clinical Hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH). Specializing in the treatment of chronic pain patients, Traci, is helping individuals regain their lives with Hypnosis Combined Therapy (HCT).
Traci has a dynamic background from a perspective that few if any other instructors, practitioners or clinical hypnotists/hypnotherapists can offer. Her background as a chronic pain patient diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), someone that was treated with/utilized hypnosis to get into remission, and is now treating other chronic pain patients is rare. She has patients, pediatrics to geriatrics, which contact her globally searching for answers and relief.
Traci was diagnosed with a very aggressive, volatile case of type 2 CRPS in 2007. She went through all of the traditional treatment regiments prescribed by a top pain management doctor in Orange County, California. This included physical therapy, medications, local blocks, regional blocks, lumbar sympathetic blocks (LSB), etc. After several years, traditional treatments failed to help and only progressed the condition. Spinal cord stimulator(s) (SCS) caused the CRPS to move into her back, and caused a build-up of scar tissue on the Dura. It was at that time that she opted to have the SCS removed permanently.
During her journey, Traci, tried many treatment options including HBOT, mudpacks for pain, IV treatments, ultrasound and other modalities; none of which provided relief.
Following the removal of the SCS she turned to integrative treatments in Germany and Mexico for a couple of years to help decrease her pain and manage her condition. These treatments helped to decrease the inflammation in the body, decrease the pain levels by half, diminish the area of the CRPS, but did not hold long-term.
Late 2013, Traci completed a week long Intensive in the US utilizing hypnosis, biofeedback, light/sound therapy, etc... to regain her life and gain long-term remission. This was the jumping off point for Advanced Pathways!
Traci is well known within the CRPS and chronic pain communities as a patient advocate. She is an Ambassador with the US Pain Foundation and a Delegate with the International Pain Foundation on a volunteer basis, and is very passionate about ensuring the chronic pain community is not left behind.
Traci consults with physicians and clinics as a, ‘Patient Expert’ and CRPS expert, on a global basis. She’s a Keynote Speaker, author and blogger. Traci has dedicated her life to helping other chronic pain patients.
